Position Overview

As a Remote Web Developer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our web applications. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to create dynamic, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites and web applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern web technologies, a passion for clean, maintainable code, and the ability to collaborate in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Web Development & Coding:

  • Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code for the front-end and back-end of web applications using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Implement user interfaces with a focus on usability, accessibility, and responsive design.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, manage databases, and perform server-side programming using tools like Node.js, PHP, or Python.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement design systems and wireframes into functional web interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews via video conferencing and collaboration tools.

• Testing & Optimization:

  • Test web applications to ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and optimal performance.
  • Debug and resolve issues, fix bugs, and improve website performance.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.

• Continuous Learning:

  • Stay up to date with emerging web development technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the team’s knowledge base by sharing new insights and suggestions for optimizing development processes.

• Documentation:

  • Document code and development processes clearly for future reference and to ensure maintainability.
  • Write user-friendly documentation and guides to assist other team members in understanding the project.

Qualifications

• Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role (typically 2+ years).
  • Experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (Node.js, PHP, Ruby on Rails, or similar).
  • Experience with responsive web design and ensuring cross-platform compatibility.
  • Familiarity with database management (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of version control tools like Git.

• Skills:

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web development technologies.
  • Strong experience with web performance optimization techniques and tools (e.g., Lighthouse, Webpack, etc.).
  • Ability to create user-friendly and responsive UI/UX designs.
  • Familiar with RESTful API development and integrations.
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first, asynchronous work environment.

• Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and work in an evolving technical environment.

• Preferred (Optional):

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility guidelines.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
