Job Description

Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Remote or On-Site (Location-specific, e.g., New York, San Francisco, Chicago, etc.)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple sources. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create and present visual reports using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Prepare data dashboards for various stakeholders to drive business decisions.
  • Data Modeling & Forecasting: Develop predictive models, forecast trends, and make recommendations based on data findings.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data. Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, finance, IT) to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Database Management: Maintain and query databases using SQL or similar tools. Handle and analyze structured and unstructured data.
  • Automation: Automate repetitive data tasks using Python, R, or similar scripting languages where applicable.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data insights into business solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a bonus.


Work Environment:

  • Remote Work: Many companies offer flexible work-from-home options, especially for roles that don’t require physical presence for data analysis tasks.
  • On-site Opportunities: Some companies may require on-site presence to collaborate closely with teams or access specific resources.

Salary: Dependent on location and experience level, typically ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, or higher depending on company and location.
